Our Plan to Reopen HFCU Branch Lobbies

We are very happy to announce, Houston Federal Credit Union plans to conditionally reopen all branch lobbies to serve members and guest members in the following weeks. We appreciate our members’ patience as we actively retrofit our branch lobbies to safely serve members in person. The following precautions will be implemented to ensure employee and member safety when branch lobbies reopen:

  • Teller stations, service desks and office areas will be equipped with plexiglass shields.
  • For your safety and the safety of those around you, we will be limiting the number of members and guest members in our lobbies at any one time. We kindly ask those members visiting the lobby of our branches to please limit the number in your party to only those needed to complete your transaction.
  • All lobby visitors will be required to have their temperature taken, wear a face mask or a face covering, and to observe social distancing guidelines. We may ask you to temporarily remove your face mask for identification purposes. If you do not have a face mask or prefer not to wear one, we kindly ask you to please continue to utilize HFCU’s drive-through lanes to conduct your transactions or to use HFCU’s remote banking services.

We apologize for any inconvenience the closure of our branch lobbies may have caused and appreciate your understanding as we work towards reopening our lobbies. With new Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments happening every day, we are continuously monitoring the situation and will adjust our reopening plans to ensure we’re doing the most we can to keep every member, guest member, and our staff as healthy as we can. In addition, the credit union will continue offering expanded drive-through services. The most up-to-date information regarding gradual reopening of our lobbies can be found on this article page and on our Facebook page .

As we get closer to finalizing an official date to reopen our lobbies, we will update our members via email. In the meantime, please remember we are in this together, and to stay safe and healthy.
