Hurricane Season starts June 1st and forecasters can never predict the impact these storms will have on our communities. Here are some hurricane preparedness tips to help you before a storm approaches.

Create a Plan

  • Develop a safe evacuation plan with routes to the nearest local shelters, pet-friendly hotels, and hospitals
  • Follow evacuation orders from local officials

Prepare your Property

  • Declutter drains and gutters, trim trees, secure loose outdoor items & doors
  • Get to know your neighbors before an emergency strikes and share contact information

  • Open an emergency fund account
