Deposit Your Checks Remotely

We want to make your life a lot easier with the convenience of our Remote Deposit Anywhere Service1! Remotely deposit personal checks safely and securely from your mobile phone or smart device using our free HFCU mobile banking app2.

It’s as easy as taking a picture of the front and back of your check, select the account where you want it deposited, and click submit3.

To make deposits using your mobile phone, you will need your eTeller (online banking) user name and password, and our free HFCU app3 that you can easily download from the App Store or Google Play.

To Enroll

  1. Log into our HFCU app.
  2. Click the Hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) on the top left.
  3. Click Deposit Check.
  4. Click on the radial button in the front of the share(s) account to deposit into.
  5. Click on the “Enroll button”.
  6. Confirmation screen that enrollment was successfully submitted. Click OK.
  7. A message will appear stating account approval pending4.
  8. Once the request is approved Enrolled will appear on the screen.

Here’s how Remote Deposit capture works

  1. Select the Deposit a Check icon.
  2. Enter the amount of the check and click Continue.
  3. Tap on the screen for Check Front to take a picture of the front of your check. Make sure the entire check fits within the frame.
  4. Click the Continue button and it will take you to the screen where you will take a picture of the back of the check. (Remember to endorse the check with For Mobile Deposit Only, your signature, and your HFCU account number3)
  5. Select the account where you want the check deposited.
  6. Tap Submit and your deposit is made!

The app will tell you if the transaction was submitted successfully. If it was unsuccessful, you will receive an on-screen rejection message. If your deposit goes through and there is a problem processing it, you will be sent an email to the email address we have on file. It’s very important that we have your correct email address.

Items deposited will have a hold placed at the time of deposit with a daily review to release holds. Deposits made after 6:00 p.m. CST on Friday through Monday 6:00 p.m. CST will be included in the collection on Monday night. In case of a federal holiday, the deposit will not be sent for collection until the following night of the next business day.
