NCUSIF Depository Insurance
The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund is the insurance program that protects members' savings. It is administered by an independent agency of the federal government, the National Credit Union Administration, or NCUA.
This fund provides federal insurance of up to $250,000 on members' cumulative deposits in share-type accounts. IRAs are separately insured for up to $250,000.
